Thomas R. Axon (Tom) is President of Grand Canyon Training & Consulting. He has worked in the aerospace industry for the last 26 years with Honeywell International Inc., (formerly AlliedSignal) as the Standards & Tools Team Leader for the entire MCOE Mechanical Design organization. Tom has been involved in various aspects of engineering for Honeywell. Part of his job for the past 12 years has been the focal point for training in the areas of GD&T, as well as mechanical blueprint reading for the company and supplier base throughout the world. For the past 15 years, Tom has also been part of the adjunct faculty in the community college system teaching both mechanical blueprint reading and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). He is Senior GDTP Level S-0153 certified, in accordance with ASME GDTP Y14.5.2-2000. Schooled in Michigan, and worked for Ford Motor Co. for 12 years as an engine design engineer has really helped him in understanding both subjects from a practical stand point.
