Specific Job Description

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

Associate’s Degree or two years equivalent military or commercial experience is required.

EXPERIENCE:

Two years experience in QC/QA, including one year in safety related assignments is highly desirable; three years experience in communications-electronics or electro-mechanically related operations and maintenance assignments highly desirable; TARS operations, maintenance and support experience highly desirable; familiarity with Air Force inspection and reporting process is required; good verbal and written communications skills required; computer literacy is required; English language required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible to TARS Quality Supervisor and Site Manager to:

 Implement, oversee and enforce the TARS Quality Control Management System Plan.
 Provide Quality Awareness and Quality Process Training.
 Perform, document, report and follow up to ensure corrective action for all deficiencies noted during site QC inspections.
 Schedule, conduct and document internal quality audits, inspections, and proficiency evaluations.
 Function as site ES&H representative if designated by the Site Manager.
 Respond to site specific QAE inspection deficiencies.
 Perform site level trend analysis in coordination with MSS and TARS QC Supervisor.
 Maintain site technical order and publications library.
 Maintain AF Form 95 and Aerostat Flight Summary historical records.
 Augment flight crew as required.
 Completely understand emergency operation procedures.
 Be capable of bending at waist, squatting and crawling, and climbing ladders and towers while working around the mooring system; be capable of working outdoors in high heat, humidity, as well as winter cold and rain; and be capable of working in close tight quarters.
 Maintain Flight Monitor certification. (420K only)
 Hold valid driver’s license.
Perform collateral duties as assigned by Site Manager.
 Use personal protective equipment when required.

Standard Job Description

Tests raw material, chemicals, and/or finished product to quality controls to ensure compliance with quality standards and applicable government regulations. Establishes and implements testing and inspection procedures. Audits testing results to determine if product specifications are met. Advises operating units on quality control standards for raw materials, chemicals, packaging materials, and finished products. Recommends corrective action where necessary and develops plant quality control manuals.

Typical Minimums

Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education. Entry level.
